Event Schedule

Each year FOBP offers over twenty classroom avalanche awareness presentations followed in mid-winter by two full day on snow sessions. All courses are free and open to the public. We follow standards set by the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) and the American Avalanche Association (AAA) and we consult with highly respected educators in Colorado and elsewhere on our curriculum and course development.

Registration for classroom sessions is NOT REQUIRED -- please show up to any session that works for you.

Participants must attend ONE avalanche awareness classroom in order to attend an on-snow session.

Our Classroom and On-Snow Sessions are NOT a replacement for an AIARE Level 1 Class. We hope our classes will inspire you to take an AIARE Level 1 class. For a list of upcoming AIARE Level 1 classes please visit the AIARE Class list.
