Beacons and Brews: A Friends of Berthoud Pass Community Film Night

Join us for an evening of community-submitted backcountry films, a short avalanche-safety talk, and a fundraising raffle — followed by a selection of sponsor films. Grab a beer, grab a seat, and connect with fellow mountain lovers. Raffle proceeds support Friends of Berthoud Pass programs: keeping our classrooms free, the pass open and clean, and promoting safe backcountry travel. Enjoy a beer or two, good company, great films, and a night that gets you ready for the season — bring friends and make new ones!

Submit Your Film

Got a short backcountry film? Submit it to Beacons & Brews for a chance to win prizes and have your work shown at our community film night.

Please keep your content snow and backcountry-related (skiing, boarding, sledding, ice climbing, etc). Submit as many entries as you like, please keep films to 5 minutes. Preferred aspect ratio is 16:9 (this is for the big screen). Event producers will select 8-10ish contestants. Winner of “Best of the Fest” will be chosen by audience applause. Our judging panel reserves the right to call the winning entry in the case of a draw. Contact us with any questions. Otherwise get your junkshow together and show us what ya got.

Deadline for submissions is October 31.

Submit your film to submission@berthoudpass.org with a link to where your video is stored (ie: drive link, drop box, etc.).
