One of our members, Heather, is working on her Doctorate to become a Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.  She has been working on her research project and introduces Stress injury education and identification to potential avalanche rescuers. Here is a trailer, if you would like to learn more, please visit our website where you will find the full-length feature along with other resources regarding stress injury identification and treatment.
  • Stress injuries can result when we are exposed to something that overwhelms our bodies ability to compensate and our body’s Stress response is stuck in the “on” position
  • Initial symptoms can be subtle
  • We are at greater risk of developing a stress injury when we are not at 100%
  • Make choices daily to bring yourself toward “the green” or to “recharge your battery”
